• First timers at Hop Farm - loved it - fab line up of up and coming artists all the way through to absolute living legends! Loads of highlights don't quite know where to start. You should advertise the health benefits of the workout you get dancing to Kool and the Gang, Parliament Funkadelic, Levellers, Bellowhead - impossible to keep still. The crowd for Billy Ocean (who else could inspire a crowd love train). Loved the rebels (Richard and Patti you know who you are). Loved the Stranglers. Loved some bands I'd never previously listened to - King Charles (destined for big things), Taj Mahal (had the blues dripping out of every pore). And to see Bob with my very own eyes - well that was a Brucie bonus (so to speak :)). A well organised festival, you even managed to organise loads of sunshine whilst Newcastle was deluged with storms
