The debut year of the Hop Farm Music Festival saw the Kent countryside transformed into a musical wonderland with stars Neil Young, Primal Scream, Supergrass, Rufus Wainwright, Guillemots and Laura Marling performing to 30,000 multi-generational avid music fans at the one day event, a festival centered around folk and independent music.

The Saturday of the weekend as The Mighty Boosh Festival which featured performances from The Charlatans and Gary Numan with comedy from Ross Noble and Frankie Boyle.
